Hence the dad cruiser idea, if I have a 2-door it needs to be family sized, like, oh, say, a Galaxie. This though, I could get away with. Smaller than the Fairlane too, which helps me for parking.

Really, though, this could be a fun little car. I’d like it better with a 4 speed, but you can change that, if that’s what you want.

I actually bothered to look up Shannon Hoon’s first Galaxie (the one the song was about), and it appears it was a mid-’63 two-door 500 289 auto boxtop. Basically exactly like mine except for door count and color - and might have even been on the same line at the same time, since he got his in New Orleans and Atlanta Assembly made most of the Galaxies including mine.
